About Camp LEAP

Welcome to Camp LEAP — a Learning, Exploring Adventure Program, coming Summer 2025!

We’re a mother-son team with a Ford Transit van, ready to take campers on unforgettable adventures to the beautiful beaches, parks, rivers, and trails of Sonoma County.

We are so excited!

Pick Your Adventure!

At Camp LEAP, we believe the best way to learn is through adventure
and having a ton of fun while doing it! Our outdoor education program is designed to ignite curiosity and foster a deep connection with the environment through hands-on experiences in ecology, biology, and wilderness skills.

Camp LEAP: We are a Learning, Exploring Adventure Program.

Each day at Camp LEAP is a new adventure,
whether we’re hiking through Redwood forests, tide pooling along the Sonoma Coast, or splashing in the Russian River to observe aquatic ecosystems up close, campers engage in activities that encourage scientific inquiry—from identifying native plants and wildlife to exploring the delicate balance of local ecosystems.

We also focus on essential outdoor skills,
teaching campers how to navigate using natural landmarks and maps, build shelters, read tide charts, and cook meals using a camp stove.

But Camp LEAP isn’t just about learning,
it’s about playing, laughing, and making memories! Every day is filled with exciting games, team challenges, and creative activities that keep campers engaged and energized. Whether it’s a fast-paced nature scavenger hunt, a friendly competition in the woods, or storytelling while hiking, there’s always something fun happening.

At Camp LEAP, we don’t just explore nature,
we learn how to protect it. Our programs highlight sustainability and conservation. Campers come away with a deeper appreciation for the environment and the knowledge to make eco-conscious choices.

Our Mission

We believe that adventure is the best way to learn.
As Sonoma County’s unique mobile day camp, we take campers on daily field trips to explore the amazing beaches, rivers, parks, and trails — immersing them in the wonders of nature. Through hands-on science, outdoor education, and cooperative games, we inspire curiosity, confidence, and a deep connection to the natural world. Whether investigating ecosystems, learning to navigate trails, or making berry cobbler, campers develop skills that foster independence and discovery. Our mission is to make every week unforgettable — filled with exploration, learning, and adventure.
